Freeman and Curiel Engineers, LLC was born from a merger of PMI Engineering, Inc. and Engineering Mechanics Company. Mr. Ivan Curiel, PE, was the President of PMI Engineering, Inc. a company originally based out of the New Orleans, Louisiana area. PMI Engineering, Inc. provided services to the oil and gas industry for 11 yrs prior to the merger and focused its services towards major oil and drilling companies. Over its service life personnel levels at PMI reached 106 engineers, designers, and administrative staff.
Mr. Michael A. Freeman, PE, was the President of Engineering Mechanics Company (EMC) which had been serving oil and gas, drilling, aerospace and power industry for over 24 years prior to the merger. EMC's head office was located in Houston with a professional staff reaching up to 60 engineers, designers, and administrative staff. EMC core business was focused on the same industries as PMI, but included a focus on service providers.
In 2004 it was recognized that great synergies existed between the two companies as services and industries coverage was complimentary. The merger was welcomed by our clients and has been a great asset to our clients, widening the services provided while providing greater flexibility within the organization.
